Brief Funky Venues is an award winning website dedicated to showcasing the most outstanding and unique venues and suppliers you can hire. Since its launch in 2006, the website has established a renowned reputation within the events industry, reflected by the quality and exclusivity of its venues and supplier members. Funky was developing as a brand and needed to expand across other parts of the business to meet market demands. Our brief was two fold; firstly to consult with Funky on the best way to re-represent this expansion and themselves online. Secondly, to work with their design team on the look, feel and functionality of their new sites. And finally, to develop the new sites on a more robust, intuiative content managed platform - namely, You.Create. Outcome Our Determine phase of the project saw the reinterpretation of the Funky brand as a whole. In order to allow for greater horizontal and vertical expansion, we introduced This is Funky, the over-riding parent of all Funky brands in which Venues, Weddings, Kids and suppliers now sit. The Design phase saw us work closely with Funky's design team to ensure the personality was retained alongside a good and intuiative user experience. The Develop phase allowed us to create a site fully optimised for both desktop, tablet and mobile devices. A crucial decision as its core users needed to access the site whilst on the move. And finally, the Delivery phase saw the seamless introduction of our proprietry content management and email marketing software - You.Create and You.Send. Both pieces of software have been fully integrated to allow Funky staff to edit the full sites content, manage their client database and schedule and send HTML emails to their extensive customer and client databases.
